Suspending is not the same as ending.

She's holding onto her delegates. (In case something unexpected happens between now and the convention.)

Suspending the campaign allows her to continue to fundraise, whereas terminating it would not. With a $30m hole to fill, this is understandable.

i wonder if she'll be pumping barrack for a bit of cash over the next few weeks

Not a hope of her getting it imo. For the following reasons:

    1. She would undermine the 'change' message.
    2. An Obama-Hillary ticket would detract from Obama's spotlight. It wouldn't be ''Obama vs. McCain'', it would be 'Obama and Hillary' vs. McCain.
    3. I wouldn't say that Obama can trust her not to consistently undermine him in public. She's way too independant, ambitious and strong to be trusted to stay quiet.

    And all the other reasons.

After all of that tiring campaigning it'll be a damn shame when McCain walks away with it...

You may be unwise to underestimate Obama. In any case, to make predictions this far out is pointeless, and no better than a guess.

You are not giving BJC much credit.
It's much better than a guess, it's a dead cert.
McCain has had this one in the bag since Obama and Clinton became the only two runners for the Dems.

Obama does not have the support of white working class, he will not win the election without that support in the key stats, Ohio etc.

Lets hope your guess that your guess

Obama ... will not win the election without that support in the key stats, Ohio etc.

will not come back to haunt you.

FACT: Obama came from being 20 points behind to beating Clinton.

FACT Obama and McCain are, now, running pretty much evens in the polls.

FACT NO one knows who will be the next president until he is elected.

I think they are both good guys and would be happy if either wins the presidency of the USA.

I've never understood why some think they have some special insight and want to predict the outcome of future events with what they tell us is certainty.
