Our esteemed ex Min Justice, now Min Finance...

We're all complaining about the cost of fuel - the "whingers" should shut up...? (how to garner a No vote - lesson one)

Tonight on the 2FM news he delivers a broadside to Bertie's tribunal evidence, no doubt the Tribunal will hang Ahern but jumping on the bandwagon so early? (how to garner a No vote - lesson two)

WTF? has this arrogant sh*t lost the run of himself totally?

    Pr**k.

PS, someone should remind this tit about Lisbon and how close the vote is, provoking the electorate is not the best course of action at the moment IMHO...

    The bloody F*ckwit

    Rant over.

Oilrig, not party political, still un-decided, but sick to the teeth of arrogant politicians. They make it so hard to decide rationally.

He launched a broadside against Bertie or the Tribunal?

And I'd rather see him be honest about the price of oil rather than pretend they're going to do something just to get votes.

Well he was on the goggle box last night, first discussing Lisbon treaty with independent MEP Kathy Sinnot who is anti Lisbon and then he was discussing finances/NDP with Joan Burton.
He appears to have pulled his horns in a little regarding whinging comment.
He also claims that spending is already laid out for this year, it takes time to evaluate the situation and arrive at decisions so there will be no mini budget until main one in December.
Basically it is wait and see approach or rather hope something turns up to get us all out of the mess.
AFAIK the budget seems to have swung around by 5 odd billion in two years and who says we were not dependent on building houses

Of course Burton got the point in that now government are blaming external sources for problems whereas before they took all the plaudits for how well things were going.
She also hammered home point that government should take the lead and scrap the payrises, deliver on things like school building hoping to employ some of the out of work construction workers.

I am not allowed discuss …

He did not deny we were in a recession but no budget till december sure "we will just wait a see what happens" what sort of poxy attitude is this to have you minister will have your job, massive salary, plenty of fuel in your state car, stuffing your face in the best restaurants where food inflation means nothing

By December minister this country will be in serious financial trouble and what we are experiencing now will seem like the good old days,i really really despair of this gutless clones that people elect in this country

If you had car & driver provided for by the tax payer I don't think you'd be too concerned about the price of fuel either.
