While I'm following Spain I wouldn't back them, the central defence is very flaky, had the Russians been a little more crisp and dry they'd have scored a couple themselves.

It's a strange game, because neither team looks great in defence, and both are strong going forward. That second Spanish goal was coming, but it was still a bit harsh on Russia.

Watching the game in China and the chinese lads just started singing the Torres song! Genius! Have to say Spain are a joy to watch. Shocking at the back though. Once the ref told the russians to watch the fouling on Torres his marker has given him about 4 yards of space... this could be a rout, although Russia would be a good bet to get one themselves! Villa is LETHAL!

Also is anyone else in awe of the movement of the top 3 lads. I mean I was sure Torres was playing up top on his own with Villa on the left then BA< there's Silva on the left with torres on the right and Villa up front and then BAM Villa on the right and so on and so on...

Really good start of Russia,i even expected them to score first,but their defence is terrible,Torres and Villa making fun of them so that good start is worthless at the end and Spain just used chances comparing to Russians,in 2nd half i expect way more calm game than this in 1st one and to stay 2-0
