i'm off for the summer now and dont want to waste it idle around ireland when i can head off and see a bit of the world...
trouble is most of my mates dont get my teachin holidays and can't commit to going anywhere @ the last minute.......
what i'm, lookin for is suggestions on places to go,routes to take where i could meet up with people in the same situation....
I'd be open to heading anywhere...europe...asia...states (although i done the east coast last year).....even headin around europe from ireland, with a few yanks or aussies would suit me grand....anyone got any ideas, websites with info or experiences....cheers McVic

You'll quickly meet up with people in the same situation if you stay in hostels. I have done loads of independent solo travel this way, met loads of people, and made new friends.

    How about Dublin-London-Paris-Ghent-Bruges-Amsterdam-Berlin and onwards?

The hostels in Belgium and the Netherlands are really good, much better than the French ones. I recommend the one in Ghent. The hostels in Amsterdam are especially good too.
