    I had to use the second link then hit the My Portal tab to get mine. The third link didn't lead me anywhere great.

    I got the result I wanted. Graduated from DCU Computer Applications, that on it's on puts a smile on my face. Minimum wage for me. ;)

    my sister is after getting her final year results in nursing and she failed her thesis. Devastated to say the least. What now??? Any advice??? I have no idea what to say to her!!!

    I failed my fyp aswell. gutted. Would have gotten a 2.1 aswell.

    not sure what to do now

    for anyone wondering, here's a list of derogations from the normal marks and standards stuff for Engineering/Computing schools

    tells you all about how many you can fail and still get an honours, how much of third and second year go towards your degree etc etc

    Average is all your marks added up and divided - so if you got say second class honours at the bottom that means your average is above 63%, first over 70 etc...

    over 70% = 1.1
    60-70 = 2.1
    50-60 = 2.2
    40-50 = 3.0
    Failed something but get compensation = Pass

    something along those lines

    got a 2.1 in ca...now to face reality bah

    It's just your average grade for the year.
    There's no Pass Degree anymore AFAIK they're now just called 3.0...


    Third Class Honours (if specified in Programme Schedule): at least 40%

    Second Class Honours, Grade 2: at least 50%

    Second Class Honours, Grade 1: at least 60%

    First Class Honours: at least 70%

    63-70 - 2.1
    55-63 - 2.2
    50-55 - 3.0
    40-50 - PASS

    Thats how it was last yr in engineering... I know I just missed on a 2.1 with like a 61 av

    It was changed this year at academic council. 60% is now a 2.1.
