As for the iphone, i dunno but i always thought moto liked to do the non-touchscreen smartphones.
(now that i think of it, they have got a couple of touchscreen devices that are big-ish in the US don't they).

I've used Omnia and the Tocco. The screens on both of them aren't very good for touch sensitivity. I can't use them at all. The iPhones I've tried I have no problem. Things like that you can't judge from just comparing specs.
