Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A thread a month ago about how many United fans have been to Old Trafford got me thinking about what stadiums I had visited.

    Old Trafford
    Anfield
    Ewood Park
    Plymouth

No doubt many of you have been to a hell of lot. What was the nicest and what was the worst?

    Old Trafford
    Old Wembley
    Camp Nou
    Dalymount
    Tolka
    eh Landsdowne / Croker

Nicest was probably Old Trafford, worst was Wembley. What a dive

    Oriel Park
    Tolka Park
    United Park
    Old Trafford
    Ewood Park
    Anfield
    Selhurst Park
    Nou Camp
    Lansdowne Road
    Croke Park:pac:

Best is Nou Camp, worst is United Park.

Christ, off top of my head:

    Flansiro ,
    Tolka Park,
    Dalymount Park,
    Showgrounds, Sligo,
    Terryland.
    Landsdowne Rd

    Anfield,
    Ewood Park,
    Old Trafford,
    White heart Lane,
    Molineaux,
    Villa Park,

    Parkhead

    Nou Camp
    San Siro

Theres a few more, I just cant really think of!

Biggest disappointment was San Siro, bit of a run down stadium, although the atmosphere is great in the home end for Milan games (never went to any Inter games) but half the lads that do be in that end dont really go for the match at all!

    Old Trafford
    Camp Nou
    Croke Park ;)
    The old Wembley
    Olympic Stadium, Barcelona
    Tolka Park
    Terryland
    Lawnsdowne Road

The Camp Nou really is a class stadium. Ive been in Old Trafford a couple of times, have always enjoyed my visits especially as the last time I was there we beat the pool 2-0. :) Enjoyed the wembley trip too, didnt see a match was just a tour but got to walk up the famous steps and lift up an FA cup replica.

    Old Trafford, Highbury, Millennium.

    Nou Camp.

    Aussie Stadium in Sydney.

    Europe:
Gelsenkirkin Arena (CL Final Porto v Monaco)
    San Siro
    Stade Du France

    UK:
    Highbury
    Emirates
    Millennium Stadium
    St. James Park

    Oirland:
    Lansdowne Road
    Corker old&new
    Tolka Park
    Oriel Park

After Oriel Park I'd say Millennium Stadium is the best followed closely by Gelsenkirkin & the San Siro.

    - Landsdowne
    - Dalymount
    - Tolka
    - St James Park
    - Old Trafford
    - Anfield
    - The Emirates
    - White Hart Lane
    - ONO Estadi (Real Mallorca's Stadium when the Gallacticos were in town in '04)
    - Giants Stadium
    - Yankee Stadium (Cheating I know, but a few football games have been played there, and I just love the place)

Here re my thoughts on a few:

Obviously as a Toon fan, St James holds a special place in my heart. All bias aside though, it's actually a great stadium in terms of design, and for keeping the noise and atmosophere in. Also, it is probably the best Stadium I have ever visited in terms of location. It is literally in middle of the city, and only a minutes walk from the Bigg Market (Newcastle's Temple Bar). Also, it sits on the top of hill, so if you are high up, you can see the whole of the City.

The Emirates was impressive enough, but I had nose bleed seats so I think that hampered the experience somewhat. It all felt a little prawn sandwich-ish. Also, the area it is in is a bit of sh!t hole, and there is no real atmosphere when I was there on gameday.

Surprisingly, I was very impressed with White Hart Lane ( ;)There you go reckless) . Granted it is small, but even stuck up in the corner, we had a great view of the game. Seems like the stadium was designed so that no matter where you sit you still have a perfect view. Was impressed with the spuds setup, and there was definitely more atmosphere around WHL then there was around The Emirates.

Old Trafford is Old Trafford, no need to elaborate.

Whilst Anfield has all it's history, and it packs the noise probably better than asy stadium I have ever visited, Anfield the area, is by far the sh!ttiest place I have ever been in, football stadium or no football stadium. The level of poverty around there is shocking. Anyone who has been there will no what I mean.

They'll build a bowl, it will be an architects wet dream but will kill the atmosphere at the Lane...:(

Yeah, fly via London on 11th September to catch the Whitecaps vs Montreal on the 13th in Vancouver (what used to be one of the Voyageurs Cup matches but that's been thieved by the Canadian Championship, still it's a derby...:D)

I'm popping over the border for Washington State (maybe down as far as Portland) but back through Seattle for the Sounders vs Whitecaps game on the 23rd then back over the border for Whistler and maybe Vancouver Island.

You'll have a cracking time. Whistler and Vancouver Island are amazing.

Whatever you do, stay the hell away from East Hastings. Unless you are partial to crack, crack whores, and 7ft black transvestite crack whores. Apart from that little hell whole, Vancouver is amazing.

PM me if you need any info.

    Old Trafford
New Wembley - not for a match, just a visit.
    Stadio Delle Alpi
    Amsterdam Arena
    Lansdowne Road
    Croke Park :);)
RDS - back in the day
    Tolka Park
    Dalymount Park
    Stade de France

Only did a perimeter of the Stade de France and Wembley so cant comment too much.

Best was probably Old trafford or Amsterdam. The Arena is well serviced for transport and a very well built stadium, with a good atmosphere and great view no matter where you are sitting. Old Traffor is Old Trafford, on a good day its atmosphere is unbeatable.

Worst was Delle Alpi because its too big for the amount of people that go, running track around the pitch, sh1te atmosphere and its absolutely miles out of Turin (which is probably why nobody goes!)

Do both sides remain empty after half time, or just the side facing the cameras.

Because it looks shít on tv with the stand empty.

I was in the new Wembley for the recent Swiss game.

Our seats were quite high up in a corner (upper tier) but still had a fantastic view of the whole pitch and stadium.

The match itself wasn't so great :)

The bit you see on TV is the Corinthian club I think. They all go for a four course meal at half time, which is crap planning because they miss the first ten minutes of the second half. Also, not all the seats are sold yet.

Club Wembley is the middle tier of around 15 rows. There is a seperate concourse for each tier and the middle one has restaurants (yes, one even serves prawns!) and bars/food places galore.

At half time, I left me seat when the whistle went, had a pee, drunk a pint of Carlsberg and had a burger, had another pee and got back to my seat as the players were coming out on to the pitch.

At Fratton Park, there is a 15 minute queue for the toilets alone:D

Only counting the ones outside Ireland:

    Germany:
    Allianz Arena (Munich)
    Gottlieb-Daimler-Stadion (Stuttgart)
    Signal Iduna Park (Dortmund)
    Fritz-Walter-Stadion (Kaiserslautern)

    France:
    Stade de France

    Spain:
    Santiago de Bernebeu
    Nou Camp
    Estadio Vicente Calderon

    Italy:
San Siro - for the Milan derby - best atmosphere of any match I've seen live

    England:
    Anfield

    Switzerland:
Will be at the Euro 3/4 final in the St.Jacob Park in Basel next Thursday :D

    Edit:
The reason for not including the Irish ones is that I honestly don't know. I've been to Lansdowne / Croke Park / RDS, but I'm not sure about the rest in Dublin - I used to get brought to the odd Rovers game as a kid, but don't know what grounds I was in! I remember seeing Paul Gascoigne playing for Spurs, would have been mid--to-late-eighties, the only thing I remember was that the stand went below the level of the pitch - we were right at the front and although we were standing the pitch was at my chest level. Anyone?

All major stadiums in Australia with the exception of SA. 2 in New Zealand as well , and that's only just off the top of my head. But hey these threads where my dick is bigger then yours is great isn't it
