I've been to a lot of stadiums , i mean a lot. I have been to nearly every LOI ground in the country about 15 in Scotland , 10+ in England , a few across Europe. All major stadiums in Australia with the exception of SA. 2 in New Zealand as well , and that's only just off the top of my head. But hey these threads where my dick is bigger then yours is great isn't it

I find it quite interesting. I'm amazed that apart from myself, two other people have been to Brentford.

I think the person with the biggest dick award should go to the person who has been to the most obscure ground, ie this one http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/York_Road_%28stadium%29

This thread will soon be called 'Football Stadiums....'

All the LoI grounds except Wexford.
    Landsdowne Road
    Solitude
    Celtic Park
    Ibrox
    Easter Road
    Fir Park
    Parc des Princes
    San Siro
    Olympico Roma
    Artmedia Florence
    Pisa (cant remember name)
    Amsterdam ArenA
    Nou Camp
    San Mames Bilbao

Best in terms of facilities Amsterdam ArenA by a mile. Best atmosphere, San Mames.

Christ. I'm not going to start with Ireland as I'm assuming most of us have been to a lot of them.

    UK:
    The Bridge
    Old Trafford
    Anfield
    Reebok
    Bloomfield Road (blackpool)
Victoria Road (not sure if that counts as I was actually playing)

    Euro:
    SanSiro
Park De France (the new one)
    Barnabeu
    Ajax Areana
    Bentigodi (verona)
Easter Road (hearts, dad was from edinburgh)

    Germany:
    Commerzbank Arena (eintracht)
Olympic Stadion Munchen (old munich one)
    Westfallon Stadion (dortmund)
    Daimler Stadion (stuttgart)
    Weserstadion (bremen)
    BayArena (leverkusen)
    Borussia Park (munchengladbach)
    Nordbank Arena (hamburg)
    Olympic Stadion Berlin (hertha)
Schalke Stadion (i think its called the Veltins now)

Best - For athmosphere and in general - Westfallenstadion (borussia dortmund) by an absolute country mile. The only one to run it close. SanSiro on derby day.
Best - Physical and facilities - Ajax Arena

Worst - Athmosphere wise - That was without doubt old trafford, there is none!
Worst - Physical & facilities - Bloomfield Road. It was 16 years ago before the face lift. Man what a kip.

    Ireland;
    Lansdowne
    Croke Park
    Tolka
    Dalymount
    Finn Park
    Brandywell
    Belfield
    Carlisle Grounds

    England;

    Anfield

    Wales;
    Millenium Stadium

    Holland;
    Amsterdam ArenA

    France;
Stade de la Route de Lorient (Rennes)

Edit - My favourite is probably the ArenA, great design and it's built on top of a multi storey car park. Millenium is best for location.

Millennium Stadium, as expected, seems to have impressed a good few people.

Not bad considering it only cost £126 million

Compare that to the whopping £778 spent on the new Wembley...

not a like for like comparison though.

Wembley is much bigger (Physically, if not capacity) and the cost included upgrades to roads and stations as well as building a huge arch.

The Millenium stadium is apparantly impressive, but Wembley is a show piece.

Luzhniki Stadium Moscow this years CL final.

I went to see United play QPR around 96 with my brother. Had no tickets so I bought 2 off the touts outside for twice value which I didn't mind. But on taking our seats we had the pleasure of an enormous structure right in front of us. At the time I didn't take any notice of what was on the tkts but in small print was diabolical view. A few years later I was reading united we stand and it had an article about what was written on tkts for certain grounds. There it was Loftus Road only ground in Britain to have diabolical view needless to say it brought a smile to my face as did Cantona that day in Loftus Road as he scored the equaliser in the 97th minute.:D

    Home

    Milebush
    Carlisle Grounds
    Terryland
    Flancare
    Dalymount
    United Park
    Colmans
    Landsdowne
Travelled all over playing too but not counting those.

    Elsewhere

    Britannia
    Anfield
    Hawthorns
    JJB
    O Trafford
    Riverside
    Villa Park
    Fratton Park
    St James
Loftus Road - Great stadium to bring the family to.
    Stadium Of Light
    Sixfields
    Bucks Head
    Glanford Park
    Ewood
    Gay Meadow
    Stade France
    Westfalen
    The Lamb Ground
    The racecourse

Best facilities - The JJB, superb.
Probably a few I have forgotten.

Worst seating - Anfield - The Kop is so cramped, when I am sat up there sometimes my knees are up around my bloody ears. Has the best atmosphere mind, run very close by St James

I think the atmosphere at Loftus Road is great, the trouble is, if you are an away fan and at the back of the upper tier, you have to stand up to see anything in the penalty area in front of you, so you end up standing for most of the game.

The stewards can be a bit dodgy there at times as well.

From what I remember of that day in Loftus Road the home support were great and the game was good. QPR played well and deserved the lead. But typical of United never to give up. The ground was small and tight with a great atmosphere. I felt for QPR when they eventually went down but with a stadium that size it is almost impossible to compete with most other teams not just in the premier league but even in the lower leagues.

What do you guys make of the New Wembley? I thought it was amazing, but both times I went I was in Club Wembley seats.

I have heard a lot of people say they prefer the Millenium Stadium.

I loved it, this was our view at the Carling Cup final. Behind the goal Drogba and Berbatov scored in.

The new one looks nice from the train, if a bit sterile. The area around it is a dump though

The new one was being built when I was there in 1992, I think it was one of the first of the new stadia to be build around England and all levels in the 1990s.

The area is a dump, I recall the oil and gunk from the scrap yards running down the drains along the footpath and the whole area has the smell of a scrap yard.

There was even a travelers halting site there.

    BTW
I notice in this whole tread that no one has been to The Dragons Lair, home of Harchester Utd, strange that.

Love the Nou Camp, preferred it to the Bernabau but thats not hard seeing as Im a Barca fan and I did the Bernabau tour with an Athletico fan. Its well worth seeing, especially for a match, plenty to see in Barcelona other than football anyway. Well worth the trip.

I find it quite interesting. I'm amazed that apart from myself, two other people have been to Brentford.

I think the person with the biggest dick award should go to the person who has been to the most obscure ground, ie this one http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/York_Road_%28stadium%29

I've been to Brentford, had some old git beside us muttering "come on bees" all the way through the match.

I was in the shopping centre across the road from the Dragao too.
