Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Vicente Calderon
    Poljud Stadium (Hajuk Split)
    Stadio Artemio Franchi (Fiorentina)
    Stadio Olympica (Roma)

I have to admit, I've only every seen a match in a handful of them but when I visit a city i try to visit the local soccer stadium.

I have to admit Croker (while not a full time soccer stadium) is the most ominious of the lot, mainly because its a hell of a lot "bigger" in pitch terms than the rest.
I did see a match in the Nou Camp (it was 2003 I think, Roma Barca in the champs league)
Roma won 1-0. Tickets were 8 euro, great experience.

I think this is them all?:o
Stade de France just shades it as the best(all Champions League finals should be there, but I understand why they're rotated).
Excluding small LOI stadiums, I'd say Goodison Pk while not being the worst was the most disappointing.

St. James' Park - amazing stadium and location
Lansdowne Rd - meh. location is handy.
Yankee Stadium - not a baseball fan
Melbourne's stadium - impressive but no live action when I was there

Was meant to be going to Croke Park on Monday for Prince until gig got canceled, so I'll probably never go there.

This year I'll hopefully get to see Boca Juniors' chocolate box stadium and also on my list is Sevilla, Madrid, Valencia and Barcelona

Never mind the seating, what about the fact that Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay would baulk at the stair climb? ;)

Up until last season they were thrown all they way up the top corner of the Sir John Hall. It is way way up. However, from next season they are being moved to the Leazes End.

The one thing I would say about that corner is, that it is so removed from everything else, it has a carnival atmosphere, and away fans usually create tons of noise up there.

    Dalymount Park
    Lansdowne rd
    Tolka Park
    Milltown
    Oriel Park

    Anfield
    Riverside Stadium
    Deepdale

    Stade de Maladiere (Neuchatel Xamax)
    St. Jakob Park (Basel)

    San Siro

    Westfalenstadion (Dortmund)

The place in Talinn (can't remember it's name)

    And non matchday tours of:

    Nou Camp
    Montjuic (Espanyol/Barcelona Olympic stadium)
    Berlin Olympic stadium
    Helsinki Olympic stadium

The Westfalenstadion was the best ground I've been to, and that was in 2001, before it was expanded again.

The San Siro is huge, but it's dirty and pretty basic inside.

St. Jakob Park in Basel was good once we'd gotten into it, that ground in Talinn was a building site back in 2001.

Deepdale has 3 modern stands, each named after a Preston legend (Tom Finney, Bill Shankly & Alan Kelly snr) which I thought was a nice touch.

For a competitive professional football match.

A paltry 10 for me, in chronological order:

Flower Lodge damnit, only a friendly
    Cardiff Arms Park
    Stadio del Alpi
Perth Glory (can't remember name :o)
    Subiaco Oval (Australian Grand Final)
    Millenium Stadium
    Lansdowne Road
    Villa Park
    Nou Camp
    San Mames Stadium (Athletic Bilbao)
    Croke Park

So who has been to the most?

My list with a few side notes on each :)

Highbury :Was a great stadium, still miss it.
The Emirates:Excellent facilities, great pitch views, best stadium have been to
Stamford Bridge : Away end, only sold Budwiser when I was there no bitter:(
Old Tratford: Huge stadium, good pitch views, terrible service though.
Anfield: Away end, poor transport links, good pitch view, no drink in away end
St James Park: Terrible for away supporters, though think it has changed now, not soo high up anymore. Very close to city centre, locals very very friendly.
    Maine Road:
Millenium Stadium Great location for a stadium and very good facilities.
Old Wembley: Seats quite cramped, nothing in the area but historic stadium.
Stade de France: Champions league final-terrible organisation and no facilities in the ground.

    San Paolo (Napoli)
    Camp Nou
    Bernabeu
Helmantico (Salamanca, better atmosphere than Barca or Madrid, but maybe that was because I was surrounded by the hardcore fans)
