Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Laptop Audio help

Hi lads, I already made this thread here in the HTPC forum, but I think this is probably the better place to ask.

I've had a Dell XPS M1710 for the last year or so (which I got from the Dell eBay Outlet for an absolute STEAL at the time), and for my home theatre setup, I have DVI-HDMI cable connected to my Sanyo Z3 projector for video, and use a USB Sound Blaster Audigy 2 NX connected to my amp via the analog cables for 5.1 audio, which used to work okay, for the most part.

Soon I'll be replacing my whole audio setup with the Onkyo 606 & new speakers (that I'll need advice on soon enough) and I'd be very grateful if someone could shed some light for me on an audio solution for the new setup. I use the laptop for Blu-Rays and pretty much everything else, so I'd love to know if there's any audio hardware I can get that can digitally output the likes of Dolby TrueHD, dts HD-MA, etc., that connects via USB or ExpressCard?

    Thanks!
