Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

For those who could be confused with France name...
Anyway after great first round Holland wont risk too much in this game i think so they wont play too open,on the other side France needs to improve bad impression they left against Romania so they will be much better tonight i think.Draw is fair enough

    Is this 5pm k.o or 7.45pm?

All right i'll chance it. I think France will beat Holland. I think Makelele and company will turn the game into a ****ty and turgid affair, and then Benzema will pop up with something out of the blue perhaps.

Im taking France for this one too.
They gave Grance their chance against Romania and they didnt take it, now hopefully the real France will show up and put things right. :p

    2-1 France.

The heart (wallet) is going one way, the fantasy team is going the other.

    Grance FTW!

Didnt see France play but heard they were awful. Can see the Dutch intent on shocking them with a very early goal, then opening the slaughter.

3-1 Holland Id go for. And that is if Henry plays. No money on it though.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Holland MUST win! For the sake of football! :p

I'm sure the France MF will look to stiffle the creative insticts of the Dutch but if they get wide early they can do it. Kuyt and GvanB did a sterling job in the last game, they can do it again.

    Mike.

I wonder will Van Basten change the Dutch team by much with Robben and Van persie now available ??
If France play with Makelele and Toulalon again they deserve to loose imo, no creativity from that area at all against Romania
However I will go for a 2-2 draw tonight

Im hoping Holland will win as I want Italy to get thru over france but as long as its a good game i dont care! :D

With or without a tin opener?

    Come on the France!

From a viewing perspective i would like to see a 3 All draw, 3 sendings off, 4 stretchered off and an old school pitch invasion

    Come on the France!

Funnily enough I was cooking beans for the first time ever the other night (I don't really eat beans or anything tinned, was making them for my brother). It had one of those easy pull things but I tend to keep my nails really short so I was struggling to get under the ****ed, when i did, the opening wasn't too big so I got myself ready to push pretty hard on the top and the ****er collapsed splurting beans all over myself and the floor.

Got thouroughly owned by the tin I must say.

So that's what we've got to look forward to from Van Persie too yeah?:pac:

I hope Kuyt has a good game cas he's been the subject of unfair crticism thrown at him from both opposing and Liverpoool fans

France to win imo ,I can see a big performance from them tonight , Also Italy to win other game by 2 or 3.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,875 ✭✭✭ShoulderChip

frances squad is so negative they surely can't play 4-4-2 again with 2dm's and Malouda.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,529 ✭✭✭Im_No_Superman

Can see France nicking it, 2-1. Really hope the Dutch win though, would love to see them and Italy qualify.

What has this got to do with the Turkey-Switzerland game?

    Holland 2 Grance 1

France looked too old and unintrested in the first game.

While the Dutchers might be a little suspect at the back, I expect and hope for the better footballing team to win

Netherlands: Van der Sar, Boulahrouz, Ooijer, Mathijsen, Van Bronckhorst, De Jong, Engelaar, Kuyt, Van der Vaart, Sneijder, van Nistelrooy.
Subs: Timmer, Stekelenburg, Heitinga, De Zeeuw, Van Persie, Robben, Melchiot, Bouma, De Cler, Huntelaar, Afellay, Vennegoor of Hesselink.

France: Coupet, Sagnol, Thuram, Gallas, Evra, Govou, Toulalan, Makelele, Malouda, Ribery, Henry.
Subs: Mandanda, Frey, Boumsong, Abidal, Vieira, Anelka, Benzema, Nasri, Clerc, Squillaci, Gomis, Diarra.

madness. utter madness. Domenech should be disembowelled.

    Least Evra is playing

Dommench is an idiot - at least he got rid of Abidal

Tasty conspiracy time - if the Dutch beat France tonight, a draw in the Dutch Romanian game will put the Dutch and Romanians through and France and Italy out.:rolleyes:

Maybe tis time to throw some quids on an nil all draw between the Dutch and Romanians :pac::pac::pac::pac:

Errr, no. A draw will be no good to Romania.

Thats harsh on Benzema. Thaught he was one of Frances better players the other night. Im espically pissed off as I had as the top goal scorer.

Hope they get knocked out now.

The Grence could be in trouble here. I fancy Holland to hit them with more flying counters.

Got a bit ahead of myself

Oops obviously France and Italy have to decide to play along and have a draw too :p

Then Romanians on three points, France and Italy on two each, with the Dutch on seven

How the flup did Makelele not get booked there. He almost ruined Dirk's good looks

    Go on the Dirk :D:D:D

    Delighted for him.

Won the corner and found the back of the net.

How useless was Malouda's defending there? Shambolic effort

Chuffed for Kuyt and especially chuffed as I have him in my FF team :D

    great goal

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,247 ✭✭✭✭Guy:Incognito

2-0 Van Persie. Super skill all round,

Lol @ Houghton " superb finish". He did his best to miss it and put it in pretty much the only place in the goal that the keeper could get to it.

    Grance are funked.

EDIT. The finish looked even worse from the overhead camera.
