Performance chip for Passat 1.9tdi??

    Howdy,

    Just wondering if there is a performance chip available for a 1.9tdi Passat ('08), or are there a number that would do it?
    It's the fairly weak 95bhp so could do with a boost.
    A mate of mine told me there should be something available, but I know feck all about it, so decided to ask you lads.
    Also any idea of cost etc??

    i put one of these in mine they compliment a turbo diesel very well, a lot more torque and 2nd and 3rd gear are fantastic http://www.gtidirect.ie/sh744y.html

    The best way to get more power from the 1.9tdi is to remap them thru the diagnostic port. The plug in boxes are old technology at this stage.

    A proper remap should bring the standard (105bhp not 95bhp) up to around 135bhp with loads more torque.

    The guy to talk to with regard to tuning diesels is Joe from http://www.chippedire.com/ he is one of the best in Ireland for mapping diesels.
    Ask him about his caddy van which has the same engine as the passat in question ;)
