Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Divorce-Where does she stand?????

    Hi all,
A friend of mine received a letter seeking a divorce from her husbands solicitor recently. They have children (all over 18) and she still lives in the family home. His elderly father has a large amount of valuable land and it is generally accepted that he will inherit it when the time comes. My friend thinks her husband wants to get the divorce settled before he inherits the land so that it won't form part of any divorce settlement. The family home is in her name but aside from that she doesn't have any other assets, her only income is state benefits.
She is seeking legal advice on this matter but I just thought I'd see if I can find out anything for her on this forum.
If there is a settlement, is it based only on his assets at the time of the divorce?
    Many thanks for your help.
