The nearest pub you'll get near Marlay Park is the Eden. It's alright.

But yeah, Rathfarnham Village has three pubs in it, with the Yellow House a short stride away.

Isn't The Eden closed? Has it re-opened?
Taylors of Three Rock is a nice spot. Haven't eaten there.

It was closed for renovation around a year or so ago. Is it closed again?

Nope, the Eden is still open; there is a variety of pubs in and around the general area, but the Eden is closest to the park as you will find, being literally three minutes from the entrance. Its a grand little place, it packs out for the Summer gigs in Marlay.

The Yellow House, while in Rathfarnham, is a bit of a distance from the park itself. The Coach House or The Balinteer House in Balinteer would be closer, only about 10 minutes away. You could also try St Johns Clubhouse, which is practically on top of the park, but opening hours etc tend to be less reliable.

Oh, and Three Rock is also a nice option; lovely big pub, about 10 or 15 minutes from the park.

Remember having a few nice pints of guiness up in Taylors of three rock quite a few years ago one summers night , while looking out over the spread of the city lights
