This could be the wrong section but I've tried to find this info and dont have the time to read through the hundreds of posts!

Is anyone up on the different stages of recruitment and their timelines at the moment?
I applied back in April this year, did the IST and then the A/C near the start of June.

I've heard nothing yet as far as reject/vetting/medical is concerned.

I see some folks are in the Waiting Room or have got the call to start later this year - is this from the 2009 recruitment campaign or from last year?

Hate the thought of hanging around for another year.

    Cheers

heres a timeline of it, http://www.joinpsni.co.uk/application_process.aspx

its pretty much a waiting game after your AC. im in for august, but that was last years campaign (C14). this years is refered to as C15. i did my AC for C15 in middle of june and still havent heard from it! id still like to know how i scored. at the end of september they give you a break down of your results

its a long wait, but just sit it out and youll be fine!

Cheers for that. From what I can see the process doesnt make too much sense from the outside.

The nature of the beast I suppose. Trying to take the right attitude about it all so far!

The wait is killer. No doubt about it. Longest I've heard of someone waiting is close to 2 years.

Not sure I would wait 2 years but not there yet I suppose! If its for me it wont pass me.

The only experience I have with someone close to me joining is a former work colleague who got in a couple of years back. She applied in April and then started in GV the next January.

Wait for the tailor from Hong Kong to come back to The Europa later this year and get your suits from him. £80 each made-to-measure and you don't pay him a penny until he comes back for a final fitting. The fabric choice is jaw-dropping and I don't think I'd ever buy retail again after using him. Watch out for the ad in the BT, usually a few months before Christmas.

i like the sound of this! give us a heads up if and when you see he's back in town please!

PYG,have you had any type of formal training in the correct usage of a whip?:confused::confused:

Obviously for health & saftey reasons it would be preferable if you had some sort of training or even a qualification in this area. Hmmm, i wonder if they do like NVQ's or the like in this, it'd probably be under hobbies or recreational courses i guess.:pac::pac::pac:
