Sorry for this totally off topic post but as we're all doing a bit of waiting at the minute  ........

I am desperately trying to find a puppy for my daughter for Christmas. We lost our little terrier last year and after she (eventually) got over that she has being nagging for another one since. I'd particularly like a border terrier or cairn/westie terrier or a mixture of any of them! There is a great board on boards.ie for people looking for homes for their pets but unfortunately there are none in the North.

If any of you know of any breeders in the Belfast/Co. Antrim area could you let me know (by pm).

In the meantime the new ads for free paper comes out on Thursday and I have to hope there is something suitable in there!

    Thankyou!

Again, apologies for the totally off topic post....normal service may now resume :D

Ask your Vet, they will know breeders. But seriously, get yourself down to the Dogs Trust in Ballymena. Lots of beautiful dogs and puppies there in need of a loving home. Please think twice before shelling out hundreds on a pedigree pup.

Sorry, something very close to my heart:o

Goodness, thanks for the quick replies!

MrsGH, normally I would agree with you but our little terrier who left us last year was from Antrim Animal Sanctuary. He was 5-6 months old when we brought him home but unfortunately he came with quite a few problems which were mostly a result of the bad start he'd obviously had in life. The problem is with having children in the house I really need to know a dog's full history before adopting them and that's usually not possible with a rescue dog. I'm not really looking forward to rearing a pup - had enough of all that potty training with the kids lol but I think it's the best way to bring a dog up with kids...oh and a cat! So I've been agoogling the best pups to introduce to both and have come up with a little list! Hence the need for breeders - although would be very happy with a cross breed of any of the above mentioned (as it would cost a lot less)!

    Thanks again

Oh and have tried the websites mentioned...but thankyou for replying! And don't worry whatever dog we bring into the house will be well looked after - and will certainly last a lot longer than Christmas :)

Yay! fellow girl-gamer! Squirrel you got to play COD5! c was great, but 5's even better. Once you complete the game you do this level where you have to kill zombies - it's really hard! :)
