    room temp was at 21 degrees.what was the advantage of having the room temp approx halfway between initial temp of the water and final temp of the water.....


    any ideas?

    heat lost to surroundings at start = heat gained from surroundings at end, cancelling eachother out

    if it goes far enough below the room temperature after the experiment air vapour might condense causing more water to be added.
