Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Why has this forum only got one page?

Really the subject of this post is the title. Why has this forum only got one page? There a plenty of forums on Boards.ie with (what seem to me anyway) less interesting and relevant topics and they have more pages. In this forum threads seem to go over the cliff edge, into oblivion, if they don't get a bump by someone posting, this really isn't very satisfactory. Unix/Linux has millions of users worldwide, why is this forum truncated? :(

It's a default option on boards (I think this helps decrease page loads). Forums are truncated to the threads that have been posted in, in the last month. Go here (http://boards.ie/vbulletin/profile.php?do=editoptions) and go to the "Thread display option" section. Then change the "Default thread age cut off" to "Show all threads".

Every forum you go into will now show all the threads in that forum.

Thanks, seems a strange default option. Unix always shows only one page.

If you look at the bottom of the Unix forum listing you'll see that there's a drop-down box that allows you to quickly increase the thread listing depth. By default it only shows the 'Last 10 Days'.
