Command and Conquer Red Alert and find a way to make it work on XP. Then post me the disc, thanks.

Failing that Interstate 76, same deal.

That would surely be less than 5 minutes of DL'ing amongst all the other, more subversive stuff...

Edit: It appears I might be a bit late.

C&C Red alert works on my XP Pro laptop, that IS the one with the chrono stuff isn't it? Never can remember, I just play skirmishes against a bad AI! I don't have SP2 and have never updated. I use AVG free, spybot search and destroy, Firefox, and Thunderbird. So why should I update or use M$ stuff? Oh and I use Winamp, Nero, WinRAR, and a cool email retriever called ePrompter. It will log into all your webmail at the same time! No more going to several sites and loggin in and out!
    I also use Shareaza

I downloaded FF3, but can't find a adblocker like I had before. I used Adblocker but it doesn't work with FF3 :( Anyone reccomend one?

  • Registered Users Posts: 83,350 ✭✭✭✭Overheal

adblock plus plugin. for removal of adbots use Adware SE. For spyware I use Spyrbot Search and Destroy. Those and a good Antivirus and Firewall will keep you sorted.

If you're looking for a tv show to legally download, it has to be 'The Wire'. I got seasons 1-4 about a month ago and am already on the fourth! I've since recommended it to four people, all of whom are now hooked. No all of you, go forth and spread the word!

I managed to get adblock plus working now. I use spybot, AVG free and Zone Alarm. Works fine and have only had about 3 problems in 5 years!

Regarding AVG I have to reccomend Avast: it gives you more layers of protection, namely spyware and rootkit protection. AVG offers up neither, and proudly tells you to pay for those features.

I presume most of these deliver to Ireland. A friend of mine got it for around 20 euro I think. Will try to find out for you.

AVG Free version 8.0 has spyware protection but I don't like it, seems to be heavier on system resources than 7.5 was.
