Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,

I bought a laptop from PCworld with no insurance, yesterday one of my friend steped on it and left a big crack on the LCD.

Any suggestions what I can do? Many thanks.

Make him pay for a repair.

You're boned. A new screen will cost you a couple of hundred euro. You're best bet is to do as above, make your friend pay to get it fixed.

Depending on the laptop you should be able to source a screen on e-bay for €100 or so. It might take a while to find the right one but once you have it, fitting one isn't too difficult.

Was about to say the same. Screens are very expensive, if it's not an expensive laptop it might just work out easier to buy a new one!
