Cheap stuff up north?

    Hi folks - will be up north a bit the next while. Whats cheap up there at the mo' (nappies? etc. etc.?). Gonna buy some motorbike gear while up there, but wondering what else is good?

    Specific offers can be good, but it has been changing recently (about time) with stores down here finally bringing prices down. Stuff made / sourced in UK will be cheaper, but stuff from Europe (italian coffee, some pastas etc ) are more expensive.

    Nice beers are good value, but cases of bog standard stuff is about the same price as down here.

    Wine & spirits went up in April in the Niorth / UK and price different is only a couple of euro.

    Watch for different pack sizes.

    The big bonus is the choice of stuff becasue its part of UK market of 60million people, so simply bigger ranges and a more diverse range of stuff makes it worthwhile stopping off.
