Train fares / commuter card per month?

    Train times?
    Bus times?

GF can be in work (near Pearse St) for 830 am or 9am

Ive heard there is a long distance train that serves Greystones, does it stop at Pearse St?

Are the buses reliable in the morn or hit by traffic jams despite bus lanes?

Is the Greysones vibe worth it compared with the nearer distance of Bray to Dublin?

Driving - Will the new Marina cause big traffic delays to Bray (Ive to Drive to Dunlaoire for 10am missing the main traffic in the morn) What the evening traffic like on the Bray to Greystons road and the Bray > Motorway/Kilpedar > Greystones Rd.

    Thanks!

Most of the info you're looking for is available on the Irish Rail and Dublin Bus websites: www.irishrail.ie and www.dublinbus.ie

Dart from Greystones at 7:30 will get GF to Pearse for 8:20(ish). The trains from Gorey and Rosslare also stop at Greystones on their way to town and stop at Pearse too. There's the 84x route also, which gets you into Stephen's Green in around an hour (depending on the time you get it at, it might take 75 mins).

The bus lanes are great even in term time, with the exception of the school opposite RTE in Donnybrook which gets clogged up with cars dropping kids off.

Nobody can say for sure how the Marina will affect traffic, except to say that there will definitely be more of it! Depending on whereabouts in Greystones you plan to live, you may be as well to head onto the N11 and avoid Bray Head.

First northbound train service is at 0620hrs.

The long distance train you are refering to is the Rosslare Euro Route and serves Pearse and Greystones.

You won't have any problem getting to Dun Laoghaire at that time. Delays caused by the marina will not be significant. The evening traffic to Greystones is slightly heavier than during the day as is everywhere at peak times, but very managable.

There are lots of folks in Greystones making the journeys like you have mentioned everyday, myself included. Its very manageable. It will be a long time before its called 'Metro Greystones'.

    Good luck.

Redford Park + noise pollution from construction.

My reason for leaving the city is noise pollution, am I going frying pan to fire with kango hammers etc from the construction for the new Marina. Ive just noticed how close the construction is.

Is it just M-F work there?
