Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can help me on this?
I emailed the Department of Education a few months ago, and they posted me back a link to a website (that i had actually referenced in the email with questions), so their answer was totally un-informative.

I have a BA degree in History and Geography, and also a Higher Diploma in IT.
I have 10years experience working in IT, so was hoping to get into teaching with my Computer Studies.

A friend mentioned that if I were to take a part-time JEB course, it would give me teaching qualifications and that I may be able to get into teaching with this.

Have any of you any experience of friends or colleagues who might have done this?

Would really appreciate any thoughts any of you mighht have - or if you could point me in the right direction.

    Thanks.

JEB is a worthless piece of rubbish, in my opinion.

Anyway, JEB is required for VEC and Fas type courses, I would imagine the H Dip is required for teaching at 2nd level.

Thanks for all the replies - I have contacted the Teaching Council so hopefully they will get back to me with some further information.
