    Could someone please explain to me how to work out Dividends Paid & Proposed...Ord. and Pref in Manufacturing Accounts (P+L).

    Eg. 2005

    Dividends paid is a percentage of the issued share capital playa, ya dig?

    Preference: Multiply your Preference shares by the percentage given. Divide this by 2- you now how your paid and proposed.

    Ordinary:
    Take your paid preference dividends from the Interim Dividends amount in the balance sheet. The remainder is your paid ordinary dividends.
    Multiply your Ordinary Shares in the trial balance by the percentage given. This is your total ordinary dividends for year. Take your paid from this figure to find your proposed.
