    Please can someone help,

I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 and the hard drive is giving problems and it's only 40GB size and its full. almost 20GB of memory is my itunes music and the rest is just some programs.

Anyway i bought a new 120 GB hard drive from Ebay and an extra 1 GB of RAM and i just would love to master upgrading this laptop myself as i have an interest but i don't know much about the workings of computers.

If i tackle this myself would i need an anti-static strap or is there anothr way around this?

    Any tips/advise greatly appreciated.
