Locks with Guarantee/Insurance

I've read in previous threads that some locks come with a guarantee or insurance policy. I'm looking for one for a new bike but the few places i've called have told me that these policies are only available in the UK? Anybody know any different? Anybody know any different? Based on recommendations from users in another thread I was going to go with a Kryptonite New York lock.

I don't know of any policies like this that are available in Ireland.

Aye, only seen em for UK/USA. Apparently they are tough to claim for anyway. You need to have the broken lock and jump through lots of hoops.
