    I got the 1.5 beta patch and now when i go to patch it to the full 1.5 it says 1.5 is already on it.
    So I uninstalled and still same problem, so apart from formatting the auld hard drive( which is dam tempting at the moment with all the sh1te on it[no not goat porn]) any ideas?

    Did you read the readme.txt that came with the patch?
    1. Go to “…Electronic Arts”.
    2. Right click the “Battlefield 2142” folder and choose “Copy” .
    3. Right click anywhere away from this folder and choose “Paste”.
    4. Once the copy has completed, you will have two folders named “Battlefield 2142” and “Copy of Battlefield 2142”.
    5. Install the update 1.5 beta, then start the game as normal.

    If you didn't make a copy and now want to install the full 1.5 patch then uninstalling should have worked. If it didn't then you need to make sure you have got rid of everything :

    Uninstall BF2142
    Delete game folder
    Verify that the radical.cdb is not on your system.
    Delete the cache files (\\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\Battlefield 2142\)
    Reinstall the game
    Reinstall the 1.5 patch.
