Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. Beaten to it! And given the two years it wasn't on TV, it doesn't even count up to two decades really. More like 16 years.

Good rundown VR though, things can get even more confusing if you go into even further detail.

It sure can, but i'm going to do so anyway for the younger ones on the forums.

85-91 ended in 91 with a dispute with Jim Herd and Ric Flair over money as well as being removed from booker position, which resulted in Flair leaving and taking the belt with him as Herd refused to give Flair his deposit back. Which meant WCW created a new belt. A belt that would be used until 1994. Flair in turn, took said belt and used it for a few months in WWE in 1991.

The belt WWE used in 2001 with Booker T, Jericho, Rock etc was the same was the WCW one until it was unified in December at Vengeance, however it would remain on TV until March 2002 when Jericho lost it to HHH and the belt was then replaced with the WWE title design 2002-2005.

The belt WWE brought back in 2002 by Bischoff and handed to HHH is not the same as the WCW big gold belt, differences already stated in my last post. :)

All belts look the same to me apart from about three of them. There's not a chance I could tell the tag belts from the IC or US belts apart from the writing on them

    I concede defeat!

Still don't want to see it customised though :p

    Seriously?
The SD tag belts look like the old school WWE ones that were used from 84-02 only they're blue as well (instead of red)

The RAW ones are smaller in height than the previous ones.

The IC title has been that design since 1998, although the 2003 reissue is larger in height. And the US one has a big ass US flag on it! ;)

I've no idea what the old tag belts looked like. Only that they matched. I'd recognise the Hardcore title if I saw it though!

Well done. Now let's look a little further into this. Who is Edge facing at Night of Champions, and what's on the line? ;) If Batista wins, he's on RAW with the World Heavyweight title

my apologies when you said this:
I actually see Edge losing it to Batista, which will set him up with a feud with HHH to be honest. .!

i thaught you meant hhh and batista would have a feud which is why i was confused, misread your post, sorry!
And eventually, the novelty wore off with that too.!

tru but they never over used it, they brought it into a few storylines alright but that was it-this stupid cena belt being made the main belt is rediculous! bring back the undisputed championship belt....or the original wwf one!

Yeah I had quick look on it. The odds on it are **** and I think one of the best is Evens. Most ar 5-6 i.e. Micke James is 5-6 and Katie Lea is 5-6 as well.

Nah he only recently won the title and they dont like switching world titles too much. Also HHH will want his win back over Cena from Wrestlemania. It is a safe bet.

Cena gets Hunter up for the FU, Triple H counters and hits the Pedigree but Triple H sells his knee. 1, 2, Cena kicks out. Triple H goes back to selling the knee. The double count out is on as Chioda is up to 8 before any movement. Finally both men get back to their feet. FU from Cena onto Hunter. 1, 2, Hunter kicks out.

Both men are down again, Chioda starts another double count out. At eight Cena is back to his feet, so is Hunter but he's selling the knee. They exchange right hands. Hunter backs Cena down with rights but they continue to exchange them. The crowd is eating out of the palm of their hands. Cena out of nowhere hits a tremendous suplex type slam. Cena goes for the 5 Knuckle Shuffle, he connects. Cena goes for the FU but Triple H hangs on . Triple H kicks Cena, goes for the FU but Cena counters and gets the STFU locked in. Chioda checks for submission. They're in the middle of the ring...

Hunter nearly makes it to the ropes but Cena pulls him away and goes for it again. Hunter counters and applies the cross-face. The crowd is unglued and this is one for the books. Hunter wrenches back on the cross-face. Cena appears to be fading but somehow he makes it to his feet, Cena's got him up for the FU. Hunter battles out with elbows, he hits the Pedigree. Three count and Hunter retains.

Winner and still WWE Champion, Triple H

So no WWE/WHC champion on RAW what now????????

Just read the results since I'm planning on ending my Raw boycott tonight and I think it's bullsh*t how SuperHunter went over clean on Cena.

Me thinks this is some way to keep SuperHunter on both shows or something.

Load of rubbish anyway. I guess he must have bought his father-in-law a watch or something.

I think it was just to be unpredictable. I think everybody assumed that one of the titles would change hands. Now they've got fans wondering how it will be sorted out. It also helps make Smackdown look like the stronger show which hasn't happened very much

It was a good match anyway. Batista vs Edge was the best on the show I think. I didn't expect Kofi to win the IC title before he came out, I wonder if that's a direct result of what happened with Mark Henry

Dodgy ref in the Raw tag title match, how can he allow a match to start without all the participants? There should be an official inquiry. Crowd were dead for it

I watched it through a stream so it was dodgy but I thought it was alright Cena V HHH I thought was good and Edge V Batista wasn't too bad either.

I liked the ending as I said I could see them doing it as it makes sense IMO I really thought last night though that HHH was gonna win and then in my head I could just see Punk coming out cashing in and then losing. But I am glad they did it and it will be interesting to see where they go with it.

    You're right there.

But, footballers and jockeys go through 3rd parties sometimes when it comes to betting.

Plus, since it's only a small enough firm (no online betting with Hacketts) there is only so much you can put on. Ladbrokes have a maximum in-shop payout of 500,000 so there is a cap on betting, i'd imagine especially for wrestling too!:pac:

    Anyways,
WWE.com hinted that the HHH/ John Cena feud may not be over just yet by stating "John Cena won't rest until he brings the WWE Championship back to Raw" in their review of the match.

I'd love if Shawn, Cena, Batista, Rey and the other big names on Raw gave Punk a pep talk and told him that he's Raw's last hope with his MITB title shot and they need him to bring the title home. And then HHH pedigrees him and pins him right away

That's just cruel man:p At least give him the usual HHH 20 min+ match!

Ah no, Mr. Nice Guy hates Hunter enough, if ya make him squash Punk, he'll prob go visit Greenwich, CT and murder Hunter!

Just a few thoughts from this PPV.

2 really good title matches and after Batista won I never doubted that Smackdon would end up with both titles, HHH was never going to lose. Its gonna be interesting to see what they do though, Punk seems like the obvious thing but he shouldn't get near having a title yet. Here's hoping Edge ends up on Raw somehow.

Lol at DiBiase's music, Pink Floyd are gonna be looking for royalties there! 3 rookies holding all the gold on Raw too, whats that all about? I was expecting Jeff to take the IC belt to Smackdown which would have been strange but kind of understandible, unlike putting it on Kofi. Michaels overselling of the eye injury is a bit annoying too.

JR referred to Finlay as a 2nd generation superstar, doesn't that make Hornswoggle a 3rd generation superstar? Thank god they didn't win.

I thought I'd have more, but the show just wasnt that good!

What was up with Kane? is he injured?

Also, its awesome that you can bet on WWE. I shall be doing that soon :p

    As for the belts:

I reckon the WWE and World titles will be unified and turned into the WWE Smackdown! Heavyweight Championship. RAW will then get its own new RAW Heavyweight Championship belt.

That way each show will have its own self-titled championship.

    WWE Raw Champion

    WWE SmackDown! Champion

    WWE ECW Champion

    Makes sense, doesnt it?

How do you mean? Did he look hurt? I wasn't watching too closely. I think he just lost the belt because he won't be on ECW anymore

I don't really think so. It would be a bit of a downgrade, instead of being champion of the world or of the company they'd be champion of a show. They're also the only two belts in the company that have been made to mean anything so messing around with them like that seems a bit pointless

I'd say that either Cena gets a rematch with HHH and wins the title or someone uses the MITB and wins a title back for Raw, but not Punk

Yeah, but if you're the WWE WORLD champion, you're not really champion of the WORLD as you havent beat every wrestler in the world. it'd make more sense to have a champ of each show, although i think the MITB thing is better. Maybe Cena will convince Punk to give him the MITB shot at Triple H and when cena wins he'll give punk a shot at the belt? I dont know, but i cant see punk wearing WWE gold any time soon.

Besides, the belts belong to SmackDown!, if Punk wins one, he is then moved to smackdown (see Benoit: after Rumble 2004). I know WWE change the rules to suit themselves, but yeah...

And as for kane, i seen EMT's coming to ringside to him, but then he just carried on as normal and i wasnt sure if i seen what i seen or if i was seeing things or what as no one has mentioned (on any forum i visit) anything about it, but on the report on page 5, it says this:
Show throws Kane out of the ring. Mark Henry is on the outside where he checks on Kane but does not touch him. Looks like Kane might be hurt as Henry gets in the ring. Mark Henry and Big Show are in the ring as they trade lock-ups. This isn't pretty. We have gotten word Kane is injured after bump outside of the ring. Big Show gives Mark Henry a slam inside the ring and the medical staff comes to ringside to work on Kane. Big Show kicks Mark Henry and works on him with Kane on the outside. Henry battles back with slow but precise right hands. Henry hits a clothesline on 'The Show' as Adamle just called him. Both men are down as Kane jumps off the top turnbuckle. He goes to work on Big Show.

Kane is limping but he seems determined to finish the match as he waved off medical attention on the outside.

Yeah it was absurd, Cena although he has flaws is more deserving of the belt than Hunter. He is abetter wrestler although to be fair the only main event wrestler who Hunter could say he on the same level would be Batista and heh Mark Henry is as good as him.! He is a much bigger draw than Hunter ever will be Cena also to his great credit has not being this superman character before he was injured, sure he won the rumble but he has being pinned numerous times since then and lost cleanly as well to Orton and Hunter,. He even was in a midcard feud with Jbl, heck one of those matches was a show opener! I don’t think Hunter would agree to that. Anyways its Carlito, Cade, Murdoch, Umaga, Orton, Booker, and Cena he has buried since he came back, its 2003 all over again!
