where is my privacy?

    Hello,
    I don't know where to post this..
    I noticed,by chance now, that my last log in was today at 2:40 am and It's not true that I was online at that time as I was asleep in my bed.
    Somebody else found out my password and entered in my private account.
    What can I do??

    In the meantime I am changing password but I wanna know it is possible to understand who did this.

    Not really. Did they make any posts in your name?

    Can you think of anywhere that you've logged in recently or anywhere that you logged in and ticked the "remember me" box?

    Dang, I thought this was going to be another "freedom of speech" thread or sumsuch.

    OP use http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/profile.php?do=editpassword to change password and don't write it down nor share it with anyone.

    Use a password that is mixed, like p4$$w0Rd

    If you have the boards.ie plugin installed it will query the server (if active) which can give the impression you were looking at the website when you weren't.

    Other then that no idea.

    I was me baby, I just got up to pee and and then I saw you PC was on and the browser was open with the password remembered.

    It's impossible somebody here logged in using my pc.
    I used my friend's pc but I doubt she saved the password or anything...
    Fortunately I have nothing to hide so whoever entered in my account didnt find anything spicy but anyway,I was furious when I noticed this happened...

    I am a bit worried thought coz the same thing happened with an Italian website and I received an email saying to confirm the request for the password I forgot..

    who the hell is doing this???:o

    Your email has been compromised. I suggest you change the password to it and then change the "What is your mothers maiden name" type question to ANYTHING BUT THE RIGHT ANSWER.

    For example: Banana (dont use that word).

    Years ago on Necron game some guy posted up a top 40 questions type spam thing to a guild forum. In the questions were things like "Mothers Maiden Name", "Date of birth" etc.. They then used that info to get into Hotmail using "forgot password". Then asked the neocron servers to request new password, and then proceeded to delete everyones character.
