    went surfing there couple of days ago and within minutes of paddling out i was shattered, me arms turned to jelly luckily the waves where break close to the shore, I think i lasted about 40mins or so but was completely wrecked afterwards. This gave me cause for concern that if I had to paddle in ie got caught in a rip etc would I have been able too. So i decided I wanna work up a very high level of fitness for surfing, Any suggestions on how to build up my arm strenght and stamina when not in the water. Cause this last year at uni with not being able to have a regular dip in the water has left me well out of shape. I'm not looking to get a surfers bod or any of that milakry just be able to hold my one in the water.
