    Hey Folks,

I'm only after getting a DSLR and the image below was among my first run of images with it. I had to shoot them quickly so didn't have much time to compose etc etc - :p

Anywhoo I know a good photo should be taken in the moment etc but is there anything I can do to improve, make this image more dramatic, interesting?

Do some burning on the clouds.
Increase the contrast and saturation a little.

    Try some BW conversion.

    Levels
    hue and saturation

selected the sky and did another levels on that (not very well)

inversed the selection to select the mountains
upped saturation then upped the greens saturation

then took the sponge tool to the foreground to make it more intensely green

finally switched the size of the image to the size i wanted and applied an unsharp mask

that is the thing about sharpening you image it can only be done last with the size you were going to use as the sharpening kinda gets lost if you resize it
I don't think it is particularly good but it is brighter.
