Old German bike

I trying to research an old bike my Dad used to have. He stopped riding when I was a small child over 30 years ago. It was a German make Pouch if I remember correctly and it was a 500cc. I can't find any references to the make, I do remember the crest was very similar to the porsche crest. Any kmow anything of this make or am I totally wrong with the name. Cheers in advance for any replies.

Cheers mate, yeah I had had a look at that. It just came back up as when I was caring for him we had some late night talks about his bikes. There are some old photos of him on the various ones he had that I must dig out. His last one rotted away out the back, it was there for years, me and my mates used to play on it. Even though it never moved we had hours of fun on it.

I'm just trying to find out which model it was, if I seen a photo I would know it immediately. it more just out of personal interest, he reckoned it was a 500cc, but he memory was a tad iffy by then but I think he was right.

All I know about Puch was that my old man used to have one commonly referred to as a Puch Cannardly. This was because they needed a Puch to get up the big hills and can hardly get up the little ones. From all of this old timer hilarity I gathered that they were a bit under powered

From what I found they did make some larger models seen some stuff on a couple of 250 on the net so far, but your right they seemed to be more know for mopeds. I think he had some of those before I was born.

i had a similar problem trying to sort bits out for a jawa(czech bike) but the germans were on the ball

use altavista babelfish translation for roughly translating the items

His was bigger if I remember correctly and had a normal two seater saddle which makes me think he was right when he said it was a 500, I guess I'll just have to keep looking in my spear time. It was just a simply question, but now that I can't find any pics of the bike on the net so far, its starting to bug me.

The do like quite quite similar, as Gandpa Simpson says "as was the style at the time". What cc is that it does look nice.

its all apart now but will be going back together if the weather picks up
