contention or throttling?

usually i can download a well seeded torrent at around 320+KBps on eircom 3 meg although the last day or two my speeds are down around the 80-130 range but usually closer to the 80 am i being throttled to prevent me maxing out my line during peak hours or is it just the contention of lots of people using the service?

eircom dont throttle as far as i know

Im on the same package and my speeds are fine. Could possibly be contention bout i doubt it would shrink your speeds down to that

check your ping times etc at peak times to see if there normal
