Maybe it's a typo. Me thinks it's supposed to be 14750

It would be a damned funny sort of deliberate scam where the scammer uses a business phone number of a well established organisation.

Still one quick phone call would establish whats what I suspect.

I only put my ad up last week and already all I've gotten is scammers. The last one I told him that the car exploded and he said he was willing to pay €50 below the asking price :D

Another 2 scammers sent me their details and asked for mine. So I gave each of them the other ones details :D

Who would fall for this? Seriously?

I got the same reply from 2 different "dealers" for 2 top spec 2006 Audi A4's going for under 6K:
Hi There, the car is still available for the price of 5,390 EUR and that I am awfully sorry for the late reply. The car is in excellent overall condition, never involved in an accident. I worked in Ireland for 2 years and the company I worked for was dissolved and I had to move back to UK. Please get back to me.
Both emails have female names (mint condition, one lady owner, hardly been used :-)). Time to have some fun :-)

How about if everybody listed the scam numbers given then if sombody google the number it will show up on sited like this.
    0851410097
    0851410097
    0851410097

I think thats a great idea because thats exactly how i realised i was being scammed. I googled "Amanda Finnegan" and got a number of car scam forums. The number she gave was 0860418629

I would be careful about posting the contents of your emails with that person, because you could get in a lot of trouble for that. The email and any files transmitted with it are confidential and are intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom they are addressed. Its contents can be released to the public only if both parties agree on that.
So even if it's a scam, you could still get in a lot of trouble for that.

^ Many cars for sale in Liverpool? :pac: Welcome to Boards, btw.
For my solicitor to proceed against you, please be providing your banking details, together with a blank A4 page signed by you on the bottom, for use of my associates. This will not be the first you hear from me.

Carzone is a hindrance with spammers contacting you about your car i had 1 guy in england who wanted to buy my car but then wanted me to transfer €150 to an account in the uk so he could fly over & pick up my car + he said he would reimburse me on his arrival. was great fun doh stringing him along then telling him where to go.
by the way any1 trying to sell a car should use Gumtree.ie its free :)...

Someone entered the mileage in wrong me thinks!

I agree. To be honest it's a 12 year old car & there's a huge choice out there for under a grand.

Doesn't look to bad for a 1st car though. Nice & clean :)

As you can read the registration you can enter it here

    http://www.mywheels.ie/VehicleDetails.aspx

Other than that you have the address so you can go take a look. If there appears to be lots of wear on the driver seat and steering wheel suspect clocking. The should have the old NCT certs to verify the mileage but as the car was an import the history might be short.
