    Hey,
Posted this in Wedding and Marriages but was advised to post here also. Just wondering if anyone can help??

    Hey
I'm getting married next year and want to hire a car, and we really want to get a jeep, like an army type jeep, not a fancy "d4 mum" type 4 wheel drive!

The house I will be coming from is up a rocky off-road and this would just suit it, also, we want something different instead of the old-fashioned type car.

Just wondering if any knows anywhere we can hire one of these?? I've googled but i'm at a loss, i just keep getting Hertz type sites!

Edit: something like this only from Ireland instead! http://www.tanksforsale.co.uk/For_Hi...ucks_Jeeps.htm

Thanks I will certainly try that link!

We're not looking for a stretch hummer, more of a Willy's style jeep (correct me if i'm wrong on the name!!)

I'm sure these lads would be willing to drive on the cross-channel ferry, if you're on the East Coast.

No apostrophe. The Willys MA/MB was the original design, but most vehicles were actually Ford GPWs. A closely related vehicle is the M151 Ford MUTT, which may also be around.

My guess is that IMVG is the most practical answer for you, though. Be sure to post pics!

(I wanted an M1A1 tank for my wedding, but unfortunately, cool though it would have been, and though getting permission wasn't a problem, California didn't have the money to spend on such frivolities. Something about fighting a war. It used to be easy to get tanks out on PR jaunts)
