Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Excel problem - just stopped working

All office apps were working fine until this morning. Excel has decided not to start up. When I try an open a document it is looking for the original install disks. Word, PP etc all work fine, excel is the only one that I have the problem with.

I have searched everywhere for them but can't find them. I think XP recent;y downloaded a service pack. Currently running SP2 but I did see an error when it tried to load SP3.

Could this be the problem - I am getting totally fed up with all the MS rubbish, between outlook, updates and now this. Seriously thinking of switching to open office at this stage.

Anyway I can recover this without the OEM disks? Thanks.

Tore the house apart while downloadong OpenOffice. No joy on the disc but looks like all my excel files are intact and all formula seem fine.

Think I will use this for a while and see how it works - if its good I will just stick with it. Must search the forum for any details on OOo

There is a problem with SP3 and some machines ...so yes it could be the cause of your troubles.

You could do a System Restore! Go back a few days prior to the download.
