Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

another thing i tried to run mysql and it gave me this message: ERROR 2003 (HY000): Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061)

dose anyone have any ideas as im fairly hew to this!

    Are you using a firewall?

is it just http://localhost that times out or have IE and FF stop working for internet sites too?

this will help narrow it down to an httpd.conf problem more than likely.

Are you using a firewall or any kind of proxy? try temporarily disabling.

    Go to the command prompt...
Try ping 127.0.0.1 see if it works (it always should)
Try ping your modem (run ipconfig and ping the ip of your gateway)
    Try pinging yahoo.com

    It is what it's.

Could be a problem with proxy settings? In Firefox go to Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Network (Tab) -> “Connection” and go to Settings.

Choose a manual proxy, enter your IP address and then no proxy for localhost.
