New D7 resident - which broadband?

    Hi all,

    Just moved into a new place in Dublin 7 and am checking out the broadband options.

    Currently I'm weighing up Smart & NTL. Had a Smart account in my old house and was happy with speeds, but I got in when they were still giving line rental for free. The current package seems a bit pricey, especially as I won't be using a landline.

    From what I gather NTL offer a nice package (broadband & TV) but contention is the big worry. Seems to be a lot of posts on here about slow speeds in the evening time, etc...

    Just wondering what thoughts anyone living in D7 (Nth Brunswick St area) might have on it. Would be happy going with NTL's 6meg pack if I knew speeds would never go below 3 meg; anything less than that and Smart might be the better option.
