Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

As has been done with other artists, I thought it only fair to start one for 808 State. Mainly because I picked up 'Quadrasate' over the weekend which I highly recommend to anyone into the early acid sound of 808 State. It is a collection of early tracks never before released on CD and well worth the investment -

I would also highly recommend both 'Prebuild' and 'Newbuild' which were already released also on the Rephlex label.

Also the below link to their own website should be of interest to any fans as there are lots of free tracks to download! Free being good during these times of hardship :pac:

Cubik is one of my all time fave tunes, Pacific state is pretty damn immense as well. Will definitely have to check out some of the freebies from their website, cheers Felix

The act that started my whole interest. Loved them, still love them. Favourite has gotta be Plan 9, though Cublik and Olimpik were standouts too.

Yeah, they had plenty of wicked tunes but Pacific is definitely in my top 3 tunes of all time. I downloaded some of their earlier radio shows a while back and they're bloody good.

Cubik is a great song, haven't heard much of them otherwise.

Really like this version - Human Resource vs 808 State - Dominator/Cubik (Soulwax edit):

Would love to see them, they playing at Bestival in the Isle of Wight but its all sold out. Them, Aphex Twin, Underworld, Carl Craig, Slam, Laurent Garniet etc. etc.

Definitely an act worth travelling across the water to see. Gotta be one of the most important acts ever in dance, up there with the likes of Orbital, Underworld and the likes in my book.

The Aphex Twin remix of Flow Coma is class, worth checking out.

    Gotta love that acid!

Just picked up the 808:90 and ex:el reissues last week and by-f*ck are they two essential albums. I can't believe it's taken me so long to finally get these. Anyone into this period of dance who hasn't got these albums, put them on top of your list!!!

"Gorgeous" is a top album also - they've re-released their back catalogue with extra tracks on each album
