Anyone have one of these or any opinions of them? Looking to get one for communting to work. Any other suggestion in a similar price bracket would be appreciated.

Got an escape R1 last christmas and for me its the ideal commuter. The main reason I went with it, as opposed to a hybrid or road bike (my previous bike was a specialized allez 07) was the state of the roads around town and on my commute to Sandyford. On the Allez, I found I was spending more time watching out for potholes etc, rather than watching the traffic around me.The Escape feels very solid and I reckon its light and maneuverable enough.

Recommended.
