Daytime Posting...

Should it be allowed at all?

Should there be a special single thread? "Curtains drawn" or something?

Should there be no restrictions whatsoever?

Personally while I want to keep this forum as nocturnal as possible, there's no way I'm going to start banning people for posting at weird times. This is a place for fun and I want it to stay that way. I think a daylight thread would be the best option.

What about time zones? I'm GMT+3. When can I post?

    Good point.

Double stressing I'm definitely not talking about people getting banned for posting off that thread, just that it'd be somewhere to keep the day time posting together.

Post after dark where ever you are?

I'd say make a day walker thread. Then people in other parts of the world can post when suits them, as they may not even be up during our night time.

For posting outside the day walker thread, during daytime hours, perhaps everyone should point and laugh, like this, <points> Ha ha ha!, at the poster?

For Winter time, night should start at around 5PM, 8-8 otherwise.

It'd be awkward to restrict, considering the different time zones.
We have some posters in America (GMT-10 to GMT-6) and some in Oceania (GMT+9 to GMT+12)

    Atari 7800 ftw.

I'm definitely NOT talking about restriction. As someone said above, it's more of a special thread for day walkers.

EDIT: I see the original post looked that way... changed it.

How would you moderate these threads though Doom?

I like the idea. But what would the consequences be if you posted in the lair instead of daywalkers thread? What if you start a new thread during the day?

I know initially there was talk of having a time restriction which sounded like a good idea. But I'm not so sure anymore.

Would this just give the mods a headache?

I dont think having just one thread for daytime posting is a good idea. How would anyone new to the forum know to just post in that thread?

I've thought about that. What I am saying is not so much "ban day time posters if they stray out of the correct thread!" and more "have a special thread for nocturnals who are temporarily stuck in flamey cancer ball time."

And that said, it might just be a bad idea and changing something thats already working for no reason.

They'll know when we all point and laugh at them.

    8AM till 8PM

    Nocturnal = hours of darkness

    Which varies, obviously.

Sorted .Didn't know if you were up to a long winter .

It's rarely dark by 8pm in the summer though.

The thread may be an idea anyway.

I probably won't be this winter. Will hardly be posting at all, I reckon.

Just the one thread would suffice!

Besides, for a nocturnal member to point out that a post was made in day time would only be outing themselves as liars who are not actually noturnal.

    In this thread only...

I also need to stop drinking midweek, it makes getting in ontime difficult.
