The older S Class Mercedes. The 190 is also quite nice :)

Some don't like it, none too reliable but look at those lines. Costs bugger all.

3 timeless cars i would love in my garage

    190E Merc
    E31 8 Series V12 BMW
    Audi Quattro Turbo
    mk3 Ford Capri
    mk1 Vw transporter camper

None of the above are really expensive like some of the cars mentioned in the thread but all still look great on the road today.

lol was driving behind one of these on the Merrion Road this morning and thought "now there is a class car, must post it on that class car thread on boards" :pac:

When they depricate crazily over the next few years I'd love to pick one up.

A nice highline Passat from 04-05 in the right colour. Lovely shape and just effortlessly classy.

I think you have the wrong thread somehow :)

In a way I think the older cars have way more coolness than the modern machines

How is a 350z with a hideous body kit any of the traits I mentioned in the original post!

This thread needs to be locked I think.

It's certainly not a classic by any means, but I think the quattroporte is a classy, understated car.

I also think the new CL has a very elegant shape to it, though it's perhaps a tad ostentatious. It will take a few years to see how the design matures.

Murray's rent a car in baggot street has a brand spanking new CL63 outside most days, it's a stunning car that makes me drool every time I see it, took off a few times in front of me at the lights, I just rolled down my window to listen to the V12 growl. Although that AC Schnitzer 8 series was stunning, my childhood dream car was a 635 CSI.
