Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Heart says Spain head says Deutschland. I reckon there's a row brewing between Dunphy and Brady seeing it's Liamo's last night on the panel. Dunphy's bound to have a pop:p. Hope it don't go to penos....

One of them awkward German centre halves is gonna chop Torres soon.

I think Low and ze Germans have made a tactical decision to get at Ramos down their left side, Podolski and Schweinsteiger seem to be heading that way at every opportunity.

Torres is really trying to turn this into 'his game' alright. They're using him a bit more like Liverpool do now, and its showing.

Poor defending, it was left to Lehmann to cover it.....which obviously didn't work out.

    Nice finish by Torres.

Spain are playing the Germans off the park at the moment, I'd say they are glad it's half time now.

Can see it being a very nervy second half for the Spanish. Hope they don't sit back too deep, cos you know the Germans are going to be going for for the full 45 mins. Also if the Germans scored think the Spanish could collapse

A second Spanish goal when they were on top there could have tied it up for them.

Still a chance of space at the back for Torres with the Germans pushing forward.

Thought Iniesta has been poor esp in his decision making - in two situations he got in positions where he should have probably played a quick ball to Torres but held up the play and wasted the opportunity.

Delighted for Torres - absolutely terrorised the German defence in that half - ankle-bitingly immense and what a finish especially after such a poor poor through ball - How he made anything out of such a pass is a marvel :D:D:D:D:p:p

Iniesta's play in the middle has been very good but he's let himself down a few times when he's gotten the ball around the box.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,067 ✭✭✭✭Tusky

Iniesta having a poor game again. Apart from the Russia game, he has had a very disappointing tournament.

Delighted for Torres. The way he is playing, I wouldnt be surprised if he scored again....if he isnt subbed that is.

Anyone else think that Fabregas has been quite quiet ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,098 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

as time runs out and the germans need to push forward, the whole game will shift massively to torres advantage. Could see him getting at least 1 more.

agreed tusky, Iniesta keeps doing the same thing, he receives the ball running towards the goal with the ball ripe to just be fizzed across, but every single time he tries to check back inside the defender. Would have been a great chance had he put an early one across not long ago.

hope he gets 2 more.....need to start collecting money from the bookies rather than just paying him every time i go in! Was too lazy to back nando as first scorer today....aaggggrrhh

definitely. Aragones seems to have given him a wider role though and it doesn't suit him, he's not central enough to make those killer passes at times, but when he has been the ball was poor.

I fully expect there to be more goals in this game. the Germans are really beginning to open up, and they do look a threat. some poor decisions with the first touch and positioning has let them down in the final third. Puyol and Marchena are looking as vulnerable as they have done though this tournament, they are really relying on Ramos and Capdevilla coming central to cover for them at times as they are committing themselves far too much.
