Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Amazing fabregas off!
Alonso on looks like argones is content to play for a 1-0 win.
Silva lucky there the ref did not see that headbutt....now silva off cazorla on.

Arragones proving his tactical nous with the Cesc substitution :o

Silva and Podolski playing silly buggers

Germans have been much more dangerous since Kurayani came on.

    Tis exciting stuff now

Lovely little variation by Spain on the corner.

    3 chances in a minute.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,233 ✭✭✭darkskol

Spain having so many chances now in front of the German goal, Ramos should of scored that header.

    Ah ffs Iniesta

What the hell does he have to do to get subbed???

Has had a shocker of a tournament and yet has been ever-present.

Meanwhile Fabregas who has been immense reduced to cameos

As others have said if Spain win this it will be in spite of Arragones not because.

Aragones seems to have gone a bit nuts....Torres has still been looking very very dangerous, why take him off? I could see this one going to extra time...

Another masterstroke there by Arragones with Torres off again :mad:

The German centrebacks will thank him for that.

    Hurrah !!!!!!!!

    Better team won

Germans surprisingly lacklustre in the second half apart from just after Kurayani came on for about 10 mins.

****ing hell what a bizarre second half. in retrospect bringing Alonso on was the right move, completely cut off Germany from their forwards although i still don't understand why you'd take off Cesc ahead of Silva or Iniesta. Have to question the ref giving the free out on the 90th minute when Gomez was one on one with the keeper, think that was very lucky break for Spain, and so was Silva not getting spotted by the refs, but overall, a fantastic performance from the Spaniards.

Really really surprised at the Germans though. completely seemed to lose belief at around the 70th minute. I think taking Lahm off (assuming it was a tactical decision) was the wrong thing to do. I know he was poor defensively but Germany had absolutely no creativity without him behind the front him.

well. now what do we do? :(

Great tournament and fair play to Spain for actually living up to their hype.

Germans didn't look like doing anything against them really.

Well done Spain. a great night for soccer. What a turnaround from the playing style that won the last euros! When's the wc qualifiers starting??

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,731 ✭✭✭el rabitos

played great football throughout the championship, a credit to the best footballing league in europe too.

xavi was class, pure class. just some passes that sliced germany apart, great to see. torres taken off for no good reason, was killing the german defence playing on their shoulders.

good tourny though, not the best, but good football throughout.

    awesome spain. finally
