Here's another one. The album happened to be playing while I was trying to think of an album to post . It might be a bit obscure but we'll see how you people do trying to guess it! The band in question is American and features a female singer.

Yay! Can someone explain to me how to put up part of an album's artwork? I've got a few correct, but had to pass my turn on cos I haven't got a clue how to do it!? :rolleyes:

There's a few ways to do it depending on what software you've got on your computer. I usually just do a Google search for a nice big version of the album cover. I download the image to my computer. Then I bring it into Photoshop and use the Rectangular Marquee tool to copy a rectangular part of the image into a new image. If you don't have Photoshop try IrfanView. In fact even if you do have Photoshop, download IrfanView anyway, it's a great program! In IrfanView you can simply open the image and then click and drag on the image to select the part of the image you want.

Save the new image and upload it to an image hoster. I used Wthax but there are plenty of others such as ImageShack. When the image is uploaded there will be a link displayed that you can copy and paste into your forum post to make the image appear.

You can also use resizr.com.

Just find your album cover using images.google.com, open your image on its own in your Browser and input the URL of the image into resizr to re-size it and it will give you the code to put the re-sized image on the Thread.

I don't think there are any sites you do have to register for to do this.
