Ha ha, I never noticed that :). Just upload your images to http://www.wthax.org after you've cropped and renamed them and everything should be fine. That's all I do.

It looks very familar......Is sumthing by sonic youth or the smashing pumpkins prehaps?I know I'VE seen that pic somewhere before.......

Hmm, I can't really think of a good clue :o. It's from an album by an American band who split up in 2003

It's a reasonably well-known album if you are into that genre. It's definitely not by Smashing Pumpkins or Sonic Youth though.

As much as I dislike the classification it's probably best described as a Nu Metal album. It was released in the nineties.

Ah well, that doesn't help me at all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,065 ✭✭✭✭Malice

Wow, I didn't think that cover was going to stump you all! Does it help at all if I say that the band had a couple of different female bass players, disbanded in 2003 and were from California? Also, the singer went on to form another pretty well known metal band.

Coal Chamber and Chamber Music. Read on Wikipedia they have settled their differences and a reunion may be on the cards. (2007) Nice one malice.

    Here's another.

    picture.php?albumid=77&pictureid=2398

nu-metal band. Active for three years (2000-2003) From Austin, TX and performed at Ozzfest 2003

I think at least one of the other members of Coal Chamber has played a song or two on stage with Devildriver. I don't know if there would be that much interest in a reunion. Nu Metal as a genre isn't particularly popular any more.

Hmm, by process of elimination I'm going to guess that it's
    Becoming i by Unloco
    :).

I knew I reconised it :) I thought the singer was with devil driver?

He is. I think the formation of DevilDriver overlapped with the demise of Coal Chamber but he basically went from one band to the other.

That's very odd. Can you see it in my quoted post? Maybe it's worth posting a bug report about it?

Here's another album to guess (I forgot to post one yesterday, sorry):

Nope, can't see it quoted and when I quote Denman's original post there's no link, same thing in internet explorer too. Ah well, it doesn't matter anyway.

That album looks very familiar though, I just can't put my finger on it.

That's pretty strange alright GITR. I saved the image online and edited in IrfanView. Then I uploaded the image to my images folder here.

Well, I thought I'd continue the Nu Metal/Alt Metal theme of the recent albums so I put up another one. Its a recent release by a band that have been around since 1992.

Here's a bigger version of the picture without the band or album name. If no one gets it I'll post up the band name and album after lunch today.

Okay, this was the answer. If you don't want to click the link it was
When Angels & Serpents Dance by P.O.D.

Here's another one. It's not Nu Metal, it's Industrial Metal. The band in question isn't American and this is the cover of their second album.

I don't think so, I'd say I would recognise that image if I had seen it before.

I didn't recognise it either until I looked at the album :).

It's a Danish band (that's probably given it away, I can't think of another Danish Industrial Metal band).

    It's Mnemic.

I have definitely seen that before, or at least something very similar, but as per usual I can't put a name on it

It's not American Head Charge but the name of the album has American in the title.

This might give it away but the vocalist is a woman.
