Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone done Vancouver --> Toronto by train?

OK, unforseen last minute changes to our RTW flights means we're now facing the prospect of getting from Vancouver to Toronto by ourselves (but the air fare is cheaper).

We basically have two options - train or fly.

Has anyone done the train journey and what was it like? I poked around seat61.com and then viarail.com and the train fare is ~€270 for the time of year we're going (February) and takes 3 days and 10 hours. Is it worth doing this given that our time (and budget) in Canada is relatively limited and we probably wouldn't be stopping along the way for very long?

The girl in USIT quoted us €300 for a flight just to give us an idea but said it would most likely be less if we booked over there.

    Anyone?

I know the views you'll get on that train will be incredible, I spent a summer in Vancouver and we explored the idea of getting that train (hadn't enough money in the end) but there's one part where they have an observation carriage, looked like it would be a quality journey.
