My Infraction (posh name for a ban?)

    Excuse me, but one week from 25th June is not the 5th July! It's 2nd July? Correct me if I'm wrong? I have sent this as a PM to the mod who sent me the infraction and imposed the ban, but he isn't always online and I might not get the ban lifted before the (correct?) date.

    So if any of the other mods could look into it I would be very greatful. Oh I have been banned from the Nocturnal Forum BTW!

    Probably should have waited for Nerin to get back to you tbh, he is around quite often, just not all the time like some of us.

    Or you could have Pm'd SDoom about it. Or even WWM as the Cmod.

    Regardless, this is definitely not the right way to go about it.

    An infraction lasts for 10 days and that is seperate to your ban which is for a week. You got an infraction for the naked pics and the ban for posting a link to a porn site.

    *Edit: Must add that while your infraction lasts for 10 days Ifear I will die with those images burnt into my mind!

    Any infraction given lasts for 10 days. It stays active on your profile for 10 days and then expires. That has nothing to do with the ban. An infraction leaves a note in your profile that other mod's can see. The ban doesn't leave anything. They're seperate and you were infracted for one thing and banned for another.

    Your ban will still be lifted after a week. If you've already pmed Nerin he'll get back to you when he comes online or if you want to forward this to SDoom and he might be able to get to it faster.

    This didn't need to come to feedback tbh Spider. The mods of the forum could have cleared it up had you given them a chance to.

    can I just clarify something - the pics we are talking about, that was the pic of spider in the bath, right? where you could just see his chest? Is that right? there seems to have been a big reaction to this, I'm at a loss to see why, it's not as if no bloke has ever posted a topless pic of himself in KYN or the fitness forum before. I'm just wondering if you are all talking about another pic I didn't and don't want to see. If there was a link to a porn site, that deserves a banning, but people seem to be freaking out about something which wasn't exactly eye candy but wasn't exactly hard-core either.

    I have to agree. I don't get why people are suddenly reacting in this way considering other guys (some regularly) post pictures of themselves in KYN topless. Why they do it? I don't know but Spider certainly isn't on his own with regards to it. I know AH is different to TNF but if posting topless pictures of oneself is going to get an infraction, then every guy doing it in KYN deserves an infraction too, such a rule can't really just be "forum based", it should be site-wide based.

    That said, there's a huge difference in posting a picture of yourself topless in KYN/TNF and posting a picture of your beer gut in the BGRH. One is asking for pictures of beer guts, the other is...well...what? Trying to get attention? Hard to say really but I think that at least with "Post your beer guts here!!" the posters know what they're in for, but when guys randomly post pictures of themselves topless in TNF/KYN they're going to be out of place and people will be innocently flicking through it in work/school not suspecting some topless lad in a bath is suddenly going to pop up.

    Agreed, tbh. No, as far as I know, there was no other pic, and while they wouldn't exactly have been the highpoint of my day, they were hardly that big a deal. Should have been labelled NSFW as a matter of courtesy, sure. Link as you say is a different matter, but otherwise people should just build a bridge and get over it, ffs.

    That said, DJ, you're not helping that to happen by jumping up and down and drawing attention to yourself ...

    Ok, calm down. Maybe I got this whole baords thing wrong?! I thought feedback was for that, asking for feedback on things. The reason I posted here, was I was confused. I am NOT trying to draw attention to myself. Since the new infraction thing has come in I wonder how many other people have had the same confusion?

    But I agree with SOME of your posts, I should have waited for Nerin to get back to me, but as I said he is not always online.

    @Jules, so what if I start threads for everything? That is my perogative and surely the nature of boards?

    So in my closing statement, I am sorry if I have offended anyone, used the forum the wrong way, and I will wait for my ban to be lifted.

    as for the ban and infraction, ban will be lifted wednesday, ive told sdoom if im not on wednesday night to lift it for me.the infraction is ten days, automatically methinks.
    as i said before to spider, it wasnt personal,if anyone else did it theyd get the same treatment. also, all this serious business on the nocturnal forum isnt nice or welcome.
