I have offered a friendly to The Bhoys of 67. They have accepted. What happens now? When will it take place?

Just to let other possibly interested parties know, that if you want to join I'm setting up a waiting list for those who might want to take over a team if someone drops out. Also at the end of season 1, if there's enough interest from new people then division 8 etc will be added with the newbies going into the bottom division.

Check the coming matches under 'the matches' section

I have a friendly due with Helix the day before the new season starts. Hoping to cancel it, but unsure if I can.

Only thing is, fitness doesnt really come into these things afaik, if a player is injured he cant play. If he isnt he's fit.

Yep thats it, you can select yer team and tactics now if ya want.

The game happens automatically at 14.30 CET (GMT+1)

Division 7...

I'll have to wait 7 whole seasons before I can be crowned Champions of the Premier League...

P.S. Do the teams that win the Premier League win the same amount of money as us plebs down in Division 7, or is there prize monies for winning a league (i.e. how could people possibly buy some of the 40m strikers out there, surely they're not expected to save up for 40 weeks... :eek:

apparently there is no money difference between the leagues (which i find a bit odd)

I suppose you are expected to wheel and deal, and save if you have to.

Every league is treated the same in X11. The Prize money at the end of the year is 1,00,000 : 500,000 : 250,000

Same for Div 1 thru 8

Some of the leagues have been going a long time so yes there are teams who could buy the 40m players.

If you are lucky enough to get a 16 year old youth with a skill of 4 for example, he would be worth about 10m straight away if you sell him.

All prize monies are the same in all the leagues.

And Ste, I honestly didnt deliberately stick you in Division 7

Yes you can only play friendlies with teams in this league and you cant play friendlies once the season starts.

to be perfectly honest id expect to fly up through the divisions, and ill be doing it on the cheap too, at least til i hit a sticky patch around about divsion 2 where ill have to dig into my huge resources to bring in superstars

but mark my words, ill get a MINIMUM of 4 consecutive promotions

Yup each bet is 200K winner takes all. You bet home/away/draw in each of the 6 games. Its a good way of making a few quid

actually kev, thats not a bad idea, theres more than enough people to have it set to 50k per week instead of 200k, just while we build our bank balances up
