Noob questione here, how do you add threads to the subbed section? I presume that's what it's for, quick entry to the fora you visit most?

Actually the subbed section (in the top menu) is for subscribed forums.

If you click on "Forum Tools" in the top right corner when you're in a forum (below where it says "Welcome, keen" and your private messages info) it'll give you the option to subscribe to the forum. It then appears in that list up the top.
